Hobby Room, Tadworth, Surrey - 2020
This customer had a huge loft with great potential for a hobby room with a decent height pitch and no major structural beams taking up space.

Prep work was pretty much as usual, clearing boards and making space to install the new raised platform and insulation. Next was to board throughout, giving the customer a good strong surface to live about safely and confidently.

To bring in some natural light we added a Velux window with a blackout blind.

The next job was to insulate the roof with an Airtec roof lining fixed directly to the face of the rafter. After insulation we ply lined the entire roof space and installed an upstand around the loft perimeter.

The final job was to fit the Stira wooden ladder into the newly extended hatch to provide the customer a safe easy access.

Happy customer, top job and the customer also sent a follow up image showing how the room was utilised.

What the client said: "Great experience from start to finish. Peak Lofts were considerate and hardworking flexing what they did around our changing requirements. Very reliable and trustworthy. Was almost sad to see them go when it was all finished!!"
